Competitive Debate prepares students for success in college. The best indicator of college success is a student’s ability to read and process complex texts. With ALOUD’s emphasis on research, debate becomes an interactive laboratory to learn to use data effectively. Students close the reading gap by participating in 500 extra hours of reading, oral presentations and writing beyond the regular school day each year.
