Curricular Debate ALOUD transforms the classroom by training teachers in the use of debate as an awareness-building and motivational tool for students. By age nine, low-income students are already three grade levels behind their peers. Teachers use Debate Across the Curriculum to invigorate difficult units in health, science, social studies, and math, and bridge those gaps. School systems in Newark, Baltimore, Kansas City, Austin, Providence and Atlanta have adopted debate as a curriculum development strategy
This is our message to urban students:
Your Voice. Your Future. Debate.
